About our course:
The WD Academy 2-Year Course is a fully funded training programme designed for young people who are serious about pursuing a career in the creative & performing arts.
Delivered over a 36-week academic year, students work towards the RSL Extended Level 3 Diploma in Creative & Performing Arts (equivalent to 3 A-Levels). This qualification supports progression into higher education, professional training, or direct entry into the industry.
Our focus is not only on developing strong performers, but also helping young people build confidence, independence, and clear pathways into their future careers.
Duration:
2 years
Entry Requirements:
5 GCSE’s or equivalent at 4/C grade and above.
Preferably this will include English and Maths (although alternative pathways are available if requirements aren't met)
Recognised qualifications

RSL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative & Performing Arts- equivalent to 3 A Levels, and will facilitate an entrance into University and Conservatoires.

VLUK will provide tuition to retake GCSE English and/or Maths if needing to retake as these are essential for those that want to move on to Higher Education.

Year 1 – Building Strong Foundations
• Training in street dance, jazz, ballet and musical theatre
• Introduction to choreography, creative skills and dancing on camera

Year 2 – Preparing for the Industry
• Advanced training across all styles
• Creating and performing original work
• Developing individual style and confidence
• Audition preparation and career guidance

Top-Up Course (Optional Enrichment Programme):
Students also have the option to join our Top-Up Course, which provides additional training and industry-focused opportunities alongside the main diploma.
This is ideal for students who want extra hours, more experience, and further development.
Cost: £1,850 per year
Payment Options:
Full = £1,850 (one-off payment)
Termly = £616.60 (x 3 payments)
Monthly = £168.20 (x 11 payments)
Bursary Support: Available for families who may require financial assistance
